Your job duties include supervising IT staff, working with product vendors, and managing the maintenance and upgrades of the company's hardware and software systems. Depending on your company’s size, you coordinate with the internal software development team or with outside vendors to find cost-effective solutions for the company’s IT needs, based on functionality and scalability.

How does an IT manager typically collaborate with other departments within an organization?

IT Managers play a crucial role in bridging the gap between technical teams and other business units. They regularly meet with department heads to understand specific technology needs, coordinate on project timelines, and ensure that IT solutions align with organizational goals.
