Job Summary

The IT Project Manager will join a growing information technology team that is delivering innovative solutions to support Dorman Products significant business growth plans within the rapidly changing automotive industry.  We are looking for a professional with significant experience in managing cross functional, complex IT projects across a variety of business functions and application platforms.  This role will also require direct interaction with a broad range of senior, technical and functional managers and subject matter experts throughout the organization.  Project solutions will entail fully integrated process, organizational, and information technology components.  This position requires day-to-day management of project team personnel, communication with key stakeholders, and hands-on, experience-based delivery leadership.  The ideal candidate for this position can manage projects using traditional waterfall or agile project management methodologies.  Depending upon the project scope, the candidate may be called on to also perform traditional IT business analyst functions including leading teams to define as is and to be business processes and related system requirements.  

This is a hybrid role in our corporate headquarters in suburban Philadelphia (Colmar, PA) with the expectation to be onsite three days per week.

Primary Duties
  • Provide project leadership, management and oversight throughout the phases of Dorman’s solution delivery methodology: Plan, Analyze, Design, Build, Test, Deploy  
  • Facilitate fact finding sessions with key business and IT staff to assess as-is capabilities, perform root cause analysis, define solution requirements, perform feasibility analyses, and define high-level solution alternatives and approaches.    
  • Prepare project proposals, business cases, and detailed project plans.   
  • Provide hands-on project management and actively manage the project plan, deliverables, dependencies, and outcomes for all aspects of the project (including business process, organization, and IT solution components) across all phases    
  • Actively monitor, manage, and communicate key project control dimensions including scope, time, cost, resources, risk, dependencies, procurement, and quality across all phases.  
  • Develop and implement change management and communications plans to ensure solution adoption pre-, during-, and post-implementation.   
  • Ensure the quality and timeliness of all project deliverables.  Develop, monitor, and manage project metrics including benefits capture.   
  • Work with executive and senior management to improve overall project delivery and support processes 
  • Other duties as assigned 
Qualifications
  • Experience managing matrixed project teams with onshore/offshore resource model.   
  • Held previous business analysis and project management positions in a consumer products, manufacturing or distribution environment.   
  • PMI certification desired but not required.   
  • Experience working in a PMO.  
  • Background in larger enterprise IT solutions including SAP, Hyperion, Salesforce.com, SuccessFactors, Qlik, Business Objects is a plus but not required.    
Education / Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree and 7 to 10 years of relevant professional experience.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $98,000.00 to $145,800.00. This role is also eligible for a bonus. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will depend on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay equity. Compensation decisions are made based on the specific facts and circumstances of each role and candidate.

U.S. employees are entitled to paid holidays, floating holidays, and paid time off starting in their first year of employment depending on hire date.
