Job Description
The IT Support Technician is the first line of support for users both in the office and manufacturing/production environment. This position will provide support for and maintain in-house devices and computer systems. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance. With a high level of customer service and sense of urgency, you will respond to work requests in-person throughout the manufacturing plant.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Local IT support for the Alabama plant - 1st level end-user support
• Operation of local data center (servers and applications)
• Cooperation with Corporate IT and Implementation of Corporate IT Guidelines
• Operation of local IT infrastructure (i.e. network, firewalls, switches, phone system, etc.)
• Assure continuity of the computer system for all system users
• Install selected software and hardware products
• Work closely with vendors to ensure continuity of service and purchase of local IT equipment
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in MIS technology
• Provide technical assistance and advice to users as needed
• Maximize opportunities which help HYCO achieve its core objectives.
Qualifications
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Associate degree in Computer Science
• 2+ years of experience as a computer specialist
• SAP Basic Skills: User Rights Management, ABAP
• Skills in the Modules PP+QM
• Customizing Skills in SAP
• Experience with day to day server operations.
