Position: IT Lead
Location: Okmulgee, OK
Fulltime 8:30 - 5:00 PM Monday-Friday
Not a remote position.
Covington Aircraft is seeking an experienced, hands-on IT-Lead to oversee and support all
aspects of information technology across our aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul
(MRO) operations. As the organization's senior IT professional, this role will be responsible
for developing and executing the company's IT strategy while also providing day-to-day
technical support and infrastructure administration.
The IT Lead will serve as both the technology leader and primary technical resource,
balancing strategic planning with hands-on support of users, systems, networks,
cybersecurity, and business applications. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring
reliable, secure, and efficient technology operations that support aircraft maintenance
activities, regulatory compliance, business growth, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as the organization's primary IT leader and technology advisor.
• Develop and maintain the company's IT roadmap, standards, policies, and procedures.
• Manage IT infrastructure, Microsoft 365, networking, cybersecurity, business systems,
vendors, and end-user support.
• Lead IT projects, system upgrades, and technology initiatives.
• Provide hands-on support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and operational
technology.
• Support ERP systems, Access databases, maintenance tracking systems, and business
applications.
• Manage cybersecurity efforts, backups, disaster recovery, and compliance activities.
• Oversee employee onboarding/offboarding, asset management, and IT documentation.
• Support shop floor technology including barcode scanners, label printers, and
maintenance operations devices.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or
equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of progressive IT experience.
• Strong experience with Microsoft 365, Windows administration, networking, and
cybersecurity.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and project management skills.
Preferred:
• Experience supporting aviation, manufacturing, or MRO environments.
• Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, or similar certifications.
• Experience with ERP systems, Azure, Intune, and cloud technologies.
