Responsibilities
  • Provide senior leadership for the design, implementation, and operation of the enterprise hybrid infrastructure environment, including on premises and private cloud platforms (VMware and hyperconverged infrastructure), Microsoft Azure (IaaS/PaaS), enterprise storage, backup and recovery, networking, software defined networking (SDN), and SDWAN, ensuring stability, scalability, and resiliency.
  • Own infrastructure strategy, multi-year roadmaps, and operating and capital budgets; define and execute initiatives that modernize infrastructure platforms, improve reliability and security, and align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Infrastructure Team members and senior technical leads through performance management, mentoring, succession planning, and skills development to support modern infrastructure and cloud technologies.
  • Maintain accountability for the cybersecurity posture of infrastructure platforms, including patch management, configuration hardening, vulnerability remediation, identity integration, and availability controls, in close partnership with Information Security.
  • Ensure infrastructure support for business continuity and disaster recovery, including architecture, testing, documentation, and readiness across on premises and cloud environments; provide leadership during major incidents or outages.
  • Design, implement, and govern infrastructure processes, standards, and controls (e.g., ITIL, COBIT, change management, monitoring, automation) to ensure consistent, compliant, and auditable operations.
  • Provide executive oversight of infrastructure operations and escalations, ensuring service levels are met, operational risks are managed, and systemic issues are addressed through root cause analysis and continuous improvement rather than day-to-day ticket handling.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in enterprise Information Technology infrastructure roles, including leadership responsibility for complex, mission critical platforms.

  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing infrastructure strategy, multi-year roadmaps, and operating and capital budgets aligned to business and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure cybersecurity principles, including vulnerability management, secure configuration, identity integration, resiliency, and audit readiness; experience implementing effective technical and procedural controls in partnership with Information Security.
  • Experience designing and governing modern infrastructure operating practices, including system monitoring and observability, change and configuration management, service level management, incident and problem management, and root cause analysis.Hands on familiarity with hybrid infrastructure and networking technologies, such as VMware, hyperconverged platforms, Microsoft Azure, software defined networking, and SD-WAN.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to executive, operational, and non-technical audiences and influence outcomes across organizational boundaries.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through complexity and change, prioritize effectively, and make sound decisions in environments with incomplete or rapidly evolving information.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and customer focused mindset, with a track record of translating infrastructure capabilities into reliable, secure business services.
