GIT Infrastructure - Manager Data Center

PURPOSE

The SMC IT Infrastructure Manager will partner with the IT Leadership team to ensure the IT infrastructure’s availability, performance, and stability support SMC’s strategic goals. This role will oversee and direct infrastructure services such as data center network, compute, storage, server and virtualization, WAN/MAN, campus networking, and operational security. The IT Infrastructure Manager will lead an advanced team of system administrators and engineers to provide outstanding support to other IT teams and the business. This position is an essential leader on a team that encourages an adaptable culture, transformative thinking, and continuous learning.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Provide awesome support for current and future enterprises systems
  • Collaborate with partners on value driven solutions, shared learning opportunities, driving new technology, innovation, and adoption
  • Oversee IT Infrastructure implementations, forecasting, and maintenance concentrating on technical and financial impacts
  • Lead a team of System Administrators and Engineers in charge of various hardware and software platforms for the department
  • Proactively look for ways to improve administration, monitoring, reporting, and standard operating procedures
  • Manage vendor, partner, and manufacturer relationships
  • Create and monitor metrics to continuously improve IT Infrastructure services
  • Perform annual salary and performance reviews
  • Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of verifiable experience in designing, building, and managing large Enterprise IT networks
  • 7+ years of management and/or supervisory experience
  • Valid passport
  • Ability to travel abroad
