Job Summary:
NEOGOV is a company that provides software solutions for public sector organizations, and they are seeking a Systems Analyst II for their IT Help Desk. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for City staff regarding technology issues, providing hands-on IT support and systems analysis while managing devices and applications across various City departments.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Administer Help Desk Operations: Oversee the Cityโ€™s help desk software and serve as one of the main contacts for IT support. Youโ€™ll deliver timely and effective assistance, provide training, and contribute to the IT knowledge base for both end users and IT staff.
โ€ข Provide Advanced IT Support: Troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of hardware, software, and application issues for staff across all City departments.
โ€ข Manage End-User Devices and Systems: Configure, deploy, and maintain end-user workstations and peripherals, including PCs, Macs, printers, IP phones, mobile devices (iOS/Android), and conferencing equipment. Many deployments require travel to other City departments using a City vehicle. Youโ€™ll use Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager and Intune to keep devices updated, secure, and reliable.
โ€ข Handle Hardware and Asset Management: Coordinate the purchase, deployment, and replacement of hardware. Assist the Business Applications Manager and IT Director with the Technology Replacement Fund, including maintaining the computer inventory and tracking departmental contributions.
โ€ข Strengthen System Security and Maintenance: Manage patches, applications, and endpoint protection software to maintain a secure environment.
โ€ข Participate in Technology Projects: Contribute to the research, evaluation, and implementation of new technologies and help drive continuous improvement across the IT department.
โ€ข Collaborate and Communicate: Work closely with users, vendors, and fellow IT team members to understand needs, solve problems, and provide excellent customer service. Youโ€™ll also participate in the IT on-call rotation to provide 24/7 technical support.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree with coursework in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Business Administration, or a related field.
โ€ข Four years of experience in supporting desktops, laptops, tablets, servers, and information systems, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
โ€ข A valid state driverโ€™s license.
