WEC Business Services LLC, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Desktop Engineer in our Milwaukee, Wisconsin location. This position currently offers flexibility for a hybrid work arrangement (remote/on-site) with time spent in the Milwaukee office.
This position is part of a job family (IT Infrastructure Consultant and Senior IT Infrastructure Consultant) where experience will be the determining factor. If you are currently in this Job Family, it will be a lateral move.

Job Summary
This Desktop Engineer works as a member of the IT Corporate Device Support Team to support the company's distributed end user device fleet. Specific functional areas include, but are not limited to: desktop and mobile computing devices, virtual desktop environments, OS customizations and upgrades, image creation and maintenance, security patching, application packaging and distribution and software support.
Job Responsibilities
  • Creates and maintains custom corporate images for a variety of Windows-based end user devices.
  • Optimizes OS configurations for peak performance under different operating conditions and environments - physical/virtual, on-site/mobile.
  • Manages hardware standards and works closely with vendors to develop and maintain sustainable device roadmaps for all areas of the company.
  • Provides operational 3rd level support and troubleshooting.
  • Develops working knowledge of company-wide systems, equipment, and applications and how they interact to support the business.
  • Work assignments may include 24x7 coverage.
  • May require travel to other locations.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2+ years of relevant IT experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related field
  • 2+ years of Microsoft Configuration Manager experience
  • PowerShell scripting experience

Pay Range Minimum: $78,702.26
Pay Range Maximum: $135,761.08
The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs.
