Job description

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to play a critical role in our transition project from SAP to Oracle SCM (Supply Chain Management). This project focuses on key modules, including Order to Cash (O2C), Period to Date (P2D), and Source to Pay (S2P). As the Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing an optimal data architecture to ensure seamless migration, integration, and management of data across the SAP and Oracle SCM systems.
Responsibilities:
Data Migration and Integration:
Design and execute the data migration strategy from SAP to Oracle SCM for the Order to Cash, Period to Date, and Source to Pay modules.
Collaborate with functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data models, ensuring a smooth transition of key data elements.
Develop data integration solutions for seamless data flow between SAP and Oracle systems.
Data Modeling and Architecture:
Design logical and physical data models to support the migration and integration process, ensuring scalability, performance, and data consistency.
Create data mapping and transformation rules to support the movement of data from SAP to Oracle.
Ensure that the data models align with both Oracle SCM best practices and business-specific needs.
Data Quality and Governance:
Establish and enforce data quality standards, ensuring accurate and complete data throughout the transition process.
Implement data validation and cleansing processes to ensure data integrity before, during, and after migration.
Define and enforce data governance practices across both systems.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
Work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and third-party vendors to gather requirements and ensure alignment of data strategies.
Lead discussions on data-related challenges, offering insights into best practices for the SAP-to-Oracle transition process.
Provide regular progress updates and reports to leadership and project teams.
Support Testing and Optimization:
Oversee the execution of testing strategies to validate data migration and integration, including Unit Testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Regression Testing.
Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues that arise during the testing and migration phases.
Continuously optimize data flows and architecture to enhance system performance and efficiency.
Documentation and Knowledge Transfer:
Develop detailed documentation for data architecture, migration processes, mapping rules, and integration patterns.
Facilitate knowledge transfer to operational teams to ensure smooth ongoing maintenance and future scalability of the Oracle SCM system.
Skills you bring with you:
Proven experience as a Data Architect or similar role, with a strong background in SAP and Oracle SCM systems.
Deep expertise in Order to Cash (O2C), Period to Date (P2D), and Source to Pay (S2P) business processes and data requirements.
Strong knowledge of data migration techniques, including ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
Extensive experience in data modeling, data integration, and data quality management.
Expertise in SQL, Oracle, and SAP HANA, with the ability to perform complex data queries and transformations.
Strong experience with data governance, data security, and compliance frameworks.
Experience with cloud-based data architectures and integration tools (e.g., Oracle Cloud, SAP Cloud Platform, Informatica, etc.) is a plus.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
Ability to think strategically and provide innovative solutions to complex data migration and integration challenges.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
Certifications in Oracle SCM, SAP, or relevant data architecture certifications (e.g., TOGAF, DAMA).
Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools.
