Job Summary:

Leads and designs the data and integration architecture, with projects and application progression. Participates in the delivery of numerous key business objectives and the integration of data to other BGC and partner technologies and systems. Assists in overall data integrity responsibilities ensuring information transferred from source systems remains at the highest level of data integrity. Works closely with the BSM, Technical Services and Enterprise Architecture to design and implement innovative methods and technologies across the business application portfolios.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Defines tools for basic data transfer, file share, ETL, application integration and Enterprise Service Bus capabilities to optimize IT systems.
  • Architects the strategic integration and data architecture roadmap and creates an implementation plan for customer, article, sales data, and integration technologies.
  • Initiates and develops an enterprise ERD, enterprise data retention, and archiving strategy.
  • Regulates future integrations in the Company's business process model using appropriate technologies.
  • Oversees the execution of the roadmap for systems of record for data and supporting integrations.
  • Researches and establishes a comprehensive integration framework for cloud and internally hosted systems.
  • Supports data flow processes, end to end, for projects and initiatives including troubleshooting of data issues.
  • Prepares and monitors a defined source for foundational catalog of systems of records for data and transactional objects and supporting APIs.
  • Develops and monitors the implementation standards and patterns to ensure stability and accuracy of the implementation.
  • Maintains and enforces best practices to facilitate optimized software development and transfer of information.
  • Contributes to enterprise guidelines, standards and principles as precedents are discovered and adopted.
  • Collects requirements, evaluates systems, and coordinates team initiatives relating to IT solutions to resolve business challenges.
  • Creates solution prototypes and implements proof of concepts.
  • Identifies and recommends appropriate solutions, upgrades, replacements, or decommissioning options incorporating business and technology productivity, usability, and total cost of ownership.
  • Works with business and technology subject matter experts to derive end-to-end solutions that provide value to the enterprise and complies with standards and guidelines set forth by Enterprise Architecture.
  • Participates in design reviews to ensure traceability of the design to the proposed solution architecture.
  • Ensures projects solution architecture is documented using templates and architect tooling.
  • Supports project managers in the effective implementation of systems solutions for internal business partners.
  • Provides guidance and creates standards around adopting new technologies (i.e. Prem vs Cloud).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Advanced knowledge of all aspects of enterprise technologies including network, infrastructure, applications, security, and cloud technologies.
  • Advanced knowledge of technical design, documentation, and implementation of information systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Access, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Advanced knowledge of Application Integration, including but not limited to WebMethods, SAP PI, Tibco, and MuleSoft.
  • Advanced knowledge of ETL Tools, including but not limited to Boomi, SAP Data Services, Informatica, and Alteryx.
  • Advanced ability to design and build data integrations.
  • Advanced ability to architect data stores, repositories, and data models.
  • Advanced ability to translate business requirements to data and integration models.
  • Must have a strong command of broad and general technical concepts.
  • Intermediate mathematical skills.
  • Ability to prepare project reports, presentations, and related correspondence.
  • Ability to apply strong critical analysis to business scenarios.
  • Ability to accurately estimate project planning and completion times.

Education, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field required and 10 or more years of related experience: or an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education.
  • Experience with Architecture & Integration required.
  • Experience with developing cloud, data, development, and delivery IT roles in advancing capacity preferred.
  • Experience leading data integration efforts preferred.
  • Three years of Information Technology Architecture experience required.
  • Extensive experience in technical design, documentation, and implementation of information systems.
  • Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business in accordance with the BGC Business Driver Policy.
