Introduction
The State of Connecticut, Office of the State Comptroller (OSC) is seeking a dynamic professional with expertise in both business and technology for the position of Core-CT EPM Information Technology Analyst 2. The Core-CT division oversees the State of Connecticut's PeopleSoft-based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. This position requires a strong foundation in state financial and HR policy and business practices, along with experience in Oracle PeopleSoft and a solid understanding of ERP systems and integrations.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT IN THIS ROLE:
The selected candidate will leverage strong business acumen to support critical frameworks in Financial, Supply Chain, and Human Capital Management within Core-CT, Connecticut's PeopleSoft ERP solution. This position:
  • Encompasses services and support for a range of modules, including eProcurement, Purchasing, Supplier Contracts, Strategic Sourcing, Inventory, Accounts Payable, Asset Management, Accounts Receivable, eSupplier, Billing, Banking, Project Costing, Customer Contracts, Grants Management, General Ledger, Commitment Control, Human Resources, Position Management, Time and Labor, Payroll, Benefits and Pension.
  • Involves providing both functional and technical assistance to EPM users, particularly with their reporting requirements.
  • Is responsible for working with Oracle Data Integrator to support daily batch operations and managing inbound and outbound interfaces.
  • Collaborates with the STARS team to offer alternative reporting solutions and deliver user training.

In addition to duties listed in the "examples of duties" below, this position will be responsible for:
  • Developing and maintaining Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) processes to extract data from CoreCT Financial (FIN) and Human Resources (HR) systems into the CoreCT EPM data warehouse.
  • Creating inbound and outbound interfaces using ODI to enable seamless data exchange between systems.
  • Assisting end-users with EPM PeopleSoft Queries to help them access necessary information.
  • Maintaining CoreCT public queries and conduct annual maintenance for both public and private queries.
  • Utilizing Oracle SQL skills and work with database administrators to optimize system performance through query tuning.
  • Conducting end-user training in EPM Queries to enhance user proficiency with reporting tools.
  • Working on STARS reporting to provide alternate reporting solutions as required.

PURPOSE OF JOB CLASS (NATURE OF WORK)
