Job description

Responsibilities
The Supervisor, HIT oversees and coordinates the activities of personnel in Norton Healthcare's medical records department(s), while ensuring adherence to and consistent application of departmental policies and procedures. This includes, but is not limited to, monitoring daily operations, developing and tracking individual performance, ensuring excellent front-line customer service, coaching and mentoring staff, as well as addressing staff behavior, work performance, attendance and tardiness, as appropriate.
**This role offers a hybrid work option. Initial training will take place at a Norton Healthcare facility, and you must be available to come onsite for business needs as required. Employees in this position must reside in Kentucky or Indiana.**
Qualifications
Required:
  • Three years of Health Information Management or Health Information Technology
  • Associate Degree
  • One of: RHIA or RHIT

Desired:
  • One year supervisory experience
  • Bachelor Degree
  • Registered Health Information Technician OR Registered Health Information Administrator
