We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to join our team.

This role will involve leading and managing IT projects from initiation through completion, ensuring adherence to approved scope, budget, and timeline. The ideal candidate will have expertise in IT Project Management methodologies, governance frameworks, and technical domains such as ERP, Cloud/Security, and Legacy Modernization — along with a passion for driving process excellence and project success.


Job Title: IT Project Manager
Location: Remote (Candidate must reside in Colorado)
Duration: 8 Months (Contract)
 

Job Description:

The IT Project Manager will serve as the central project owner, responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, and closing IT projects in alignment with organizational objectives. The role requires strong project governance, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Governance & Planning:

    • Establish and manage the complete project record, including detailed project schedules and approved budgets.

    • Validate project effort assumptions and maintain accurate cost tracking via SH timesheets.

    • Lead detailed workshops to capture business and technical requirements and align with Disaster Recovery and Security teams.

    • Build and present finalized project plans for approval.

  • Execution & Deployment:

    • Lead project kickoff meetings and establish a cadence for ongoing stakeholder and working group sessions.

    • Monitor project execution, track progress toward milestones, and proactively manage risks and issues (RAID).

    • Oversee change management processes and production approvals via the Change Advisory Board (CAB).

    • Manage project transition to operations and ensure delivery of all final outputs.

  • Closure & Continuous Improvement:

    • Finalize project records, complete administrative tasks, and deliver the final project status report.

    • Participate in process review meetings to document lessons learned and identify improvement actions.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5–7 years of progressive IT Project Management experience.

  • Certification: PMP Certification preferred.

  • Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of IT domains (ERP, Cloud/Security, Legacy Modernization).

  • Process Expertise: Deep working knowledge of formal Project Management Life Cycles (PMLC), stage-gate governance, and project estimation principles.

  • Location Requirement: Must reside in Colorado (remote role).
