Job Summary: The IT Asset Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining an accurate inventory of all IT assets within the organization. This role ensures proper tracking of assets throughout their lifecycle, from acquisition through deployment, maintenance, and retirement. The IT Asset Specialist will handle data entry, asset tracking, and documentation of all IT hardware, software, and licenses, ensuring that all assets are properly accounted for and maintained in compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the receipt, transfer, turn-in, collection, and distribution of IT assets.
  • Maintain an up-to-date and accurate inventory of all IT assets, including hardware, software, and licenses.
  • Track the entire lifecycle of assets from acquisition through deployment, maintenance, and retirement.
  • Document all required equipment information, including manufacturer, model number, serial number, asset tagging (barcode), and data entry into inventory automated information systems.
  • Capture and document data plate information and photographs of equipment as needed.
  • Prepare, issue, and deliver equipment, while maintaining Hand Receipts.
  • Ensure compliance with asset lifecycle management principles.
  • Utilize asset management tools and software to track and manage assets efficiently.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure the smooth distribution and tracking of assets.
  • Maintain strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills to manage asset workflows effectively.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree with 2 years of relevant experience, or High School diploma with 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of asset lifecycle management principles.
  • Proficiency in asset management tools and software.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills for interaction with various teams and stakeholders.
Physical and Mental Qualifications:
  • Be able to maintain awareness during scheduled working hours.
  • Prolonged periods sitting or standing at desk and working on a computer (mouse and keyboard)
  • Able to lift up to 15 pounds.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; good command of the English language
  • Execute tasks independently and work as a team.
  • Learns and memories routine tasks.
