Position Summary Odyssey is seeking a Security Specialist to support the maintenance and operation of the industrial security and personnel clearance programs at the Niceville, FL (Eglin AFB, FL) offic e . The Security Specialist will be responsible for support ing the maintenance and operation of the industrial security program, and personnel clearance program and ensuring company and customer security requirements are met for Odyssey's core business units. The successful candidate will interface with the Associate Director of Security, Odyssey Security Management , Security Specialist and all levels of Odyssey personnel to ensure contract security compliance with applicable regulations ( NISPOM 32 CFR Part 117, DoD SAP/SCI Community and Intelligence Community directives, applicable ICDs, etc.). This is a full-time role in Niceville, FL (Eglin AFB, FL) , with a hybrid work schedule (3 days in the office/week). Responsibilities Duties include, but are not limited to: * Support to p hysical s ecurity operations, including facility access control, an d assist with drafting and implementation of construction /renovation security plans * Maintain and update personnel security records in na tional security databases (DISS, NBIS) ; prepare and submit required reports * Process incoming and outgoing visit authorizations and corporate badging * Support travel security functions, including security briefings, visa coordination , trip research, and completion/status reporting * Initiate and track clearance investigations , reinvestigations , and upgrades ; provide status updates on investigative actions and key security dates * Assist the FSO/AFSO with s ecurity e ducation , training, and briefings/debriefings activities * Compile and m aintain security data to support management report ing, proposal development, and corporate data collection * Track and update security practices and policies for corporate and contract-specific level * Support the FSO/ AFSO with Self-Inspections and Security Assessments * Coordinate with government customers on issuance, renewal, return, and tracking of all government-issued credentials Qualifications Citizenship: Must be a US citizen Minimum Required Qualifications: * Clearance: Must have Top Secret or TS/SCI Eligibility * Education: High School Diploma * Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a Security Specialist, Security Manager, Security Assistant, Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO), or similar military experience * Regulatory compliance experience: The ability to read, understand, and apply government regulation, policies, and procedures ( NISPOM 32 CFR Part 117, DoD SAP/SCI Community and Intelligence Community directives, applicable ICDs, etc.) * Must possess customer service and communication skills * Experience managing several projects simultaneously to completion * Ability to learn new security concepts, programs, and government regulations * Proficiency in Office 365 Preferred Qualifications: * Clearance: Active TS or TS/SCI clearance * Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major/minor in Security, Security Administration, Law Enforcement, Homeland Security, Criminal Justice, Police Administration, or related degrees. * Familiarity with government databases such as D efense Information Security System (D ISS ) and National Background Investigation Services ( NBIS ). * Knowledge of business software: Excel, Word, PowerPoint , Office, etc. * Previous experience in a fast-paced corporate or government security office * Completion of CDSE training courses (e.g., Insider Threat Awareness, Introduction to Industrial Security) Additional Information: * Location: Niceville, FL (Eglin AFB, FL) * Travel: 5% * Hybrid work schedule #LI-MP1 Company Overview Odyssey is a world-class technical, engineering, and integration company serving the warfighting ecosystem with airborne integration, ISR, C2, and warfighter readiness capabilities.
