Job description

Description:

This is a uniformed, unarmed security guard position that works independently or as part of a team.

***No Weapons Will Be Carried***

$17.50 - $19.50 Per Hour (DOE)

Work Shift 8:00 pm to 4:30 am or 9:00 pm to 5:30 am


What You'll Do:

  • Patrol properties in a marked company patrol vehicle.
  • Provide protection and security of persons, property, and buildings
  • You'll be required to complete monitored guard tours (Detex) every hour throughout your shift at assigned locations.
  • Report activity on the 2-Way radio or the company phone of incidents, which are reported to ISMG's Dispatch. Our Dispatch maintains the CAD logs of all officers' activities.
  • Maintain a physical presence at the facility to serve as a highly visible deterrent to illegal activity.
  • Provide an empathetic approach to managing any escalated persons and situations.
  • Handle typical and crisis situations calmly, efficiently, and effectively at the client site.
  • Learn and use mobile specialized detex and reporting software.
  • You may be assigned to standing posts as needed to meet business needs
  • This position may require periods of standing, walking, bending, driving, and climbing stairs, both indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions. Officers, and may be assigned other tasks as required
  • Ensure compliance with each property's parking rules and regulations. Cite vehicles and tow vehicles that are out of compliance.
  • The company uses Dash Camera systems on its patrol vehicles fleet

We are a corporate security firm specializing in uniformed security and patrol services, among other security services. Our goal is to hire qualified personnel to grow with us.

Job Requirements:

  • Must be at least 23 years of age or older with a valid California Driver's License and a clean DMV Record for vehicle insurability purposes.
  • 2 or more years of prior security experience in a vehicle patrol environment is preferred. Those with prior military experience are encouraged to apply.
  • A valid California Guard Card is required before employment begins
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Comes to work, is on time, and completes shift assignments (including overtime, if assigned) to maintain an excellent attendance and punctuality standard.
  • Ability to work different assigned shifts, including availability on weekends and holidays
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing for the purpose of public interaction and report writing.
  • Ability to handle typical and crisis situations efficiently and effectively at the client site.
  • Understands and successfully executes his/her post orders, including enforcement of client and company policies, rules, and regulations.
