Job description

Job Title: Qur’an Connection Teacher

Department: Qur’an Connection Program
Location: Islamic Center of Greater Cincinnati (ICGC), West Chester, OH
Position Type: Monday and Wednesday


Position Overview:

The Qur’an Connection Program at the Islamic Center of Greater Cincinnati (ICGC) is seeking qualified and dedicated Qur’an teachers to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellence in Qur’anic recitation, the proper application of Tajweed, and the ability to inspire students of all ages to develop a strong connection with the Book of Allah.

Teachers will be responsible for providing structured Qur’an instruction, fostering spiritual growth, and maintaining a positive, engaging, and respectful learning environment.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach Qur’an recitation and memorization with proper Tajweed and pronunciation.

  • Design and implement engaging lessons tailored to children, youth, and adults at varying proficiency levels.

  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback and support.

  • Create a classroom environment that promotes Islamic values, discipline, and mutual respect.

  • Collaborate with the Qur’an Connection administrative team and follow established program guidelines.

  • Maintain punctuality, professionalism, and open communication with students, parents, and supervisors.

  • Utilize technology such as Zoom or other online tools when needed for remote instruction.


Qualifications & Skills:
  • Fluent in both English and Arabic (spoken and written).

  • Strong command of Qur’anic recitation and mastery of Tajweed rules.

  • Previous experience teaching Qur’an or working with children and youth (preferred).

  • Excellent communication, patience, and interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and teamwork.

  • Dedicated, Punctual and Professional

  • Basic computer literacy and comfort with online platforms (Zoom preferred).
