Job Description:
The ISI Skating Supervisor is responsible for planning, organizing and overseeing all ice skating classes for FLAS Community Education. This role ensures a safe, engaging and high-quality experience for skaters of all ages and skill levels while managing the class curriculum and staff.
Key Responsibilities
  • Program Management
  • Coordinate skating lessons and end of year skating show
  • Evaluate and move athletes from each level

Staff Supervision
  • Hire, train and supervise instructors/coaches
  • Provide ongoing performance feedback and support

Customer Experience
  • Serve as a point of contact for FLAS Community Education staff
  • Address questions, concerns and conflicts professionally
  • Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment

Qualifications
  • Current ISI Professional Membership (preferred or required).
  • ISI Instructor Certification or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Previous experience teaching Learn-to-Skate classes.
  • Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of ISI curriculum and progression.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • CPR, First Aid, and AED certification (or ability to obtain).
  • Ability to work weekends, and during skating events.
