About FirstLine Schools
In 1998, FirstLine Schools started the first charter school in New Orleans. FirstLine now operates four K-8th grade schools and a high school. Our mission is to create and inspire great open admissions public schools in New Orleans.

Our faculty is a diverse and talented group dedicated to our students' success and to their own growth as teachers. Our schools are led by leaders who hold themselves accountable for student achievement and teacher development.
Position Summary:
The ISI Coordinator will work at one of FirstLine's K-8 schools or our high school, where s/he will monitor the behavior of students assigned to in-school suspension, conduct in-school suspension programs, and enforce established rules and regulations.
Position Responsibilities:
โ€ข Monitors students who have been assigned to in-school suspension
โ€ข Checks attendance daily and reports to attendance clerk
โ€ข Explains expected conduct and achievement
โ€ข Assigns and checks student work during suspension periods; reviews student progress
โ€ข Discusses appropriate behavior with students
โ€ข Discusses behavior of students with administrators, teachers, and parents
โ€ข Monitors and reports inappropriate behavior by students to administration
โ€ข Monitors hallways before and after school
โ€ข Records and files records on students receiving after-school detention
โ€ข Holds after-school detention
โ€ข Maintains records on students receiving out-of-school suspensions
โ€ข Mails letters about suspensions to parents
โ€ข Performs other duties as required
Education & Experience:
โ€ข High School Diploma or GED minimum
โ€ข Experience working with children in a disciplinary setting required
โ€ข High expectations for student behavior and the ability to enforce school culture with students who are struggling
โ€ข Willing to work in collaboration with Dean of Students to enforce school policies and procedure
