Nurse Substitute 2026-2027 School Year

Aledo ISD Substitute - Aledo, Texas

Job Description

Sub nurses will:

  1. assist the Campus RN when needed
  2. act as Campus Nurse when Nurse is absent

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited professional nursing education program
  • Valid license to practice professional nursing in Texas from the State Board of Nurse Examiners
  • Certified by Texas Department of Health to conduct vision and hearing screening
  • CPR Certification

Special Knowledge/Skills:

  • Physical, mental, social & emotional nursing assessment skills
  • Nursing skills and knowledge specific to pediatric nursing
  • Ability to develop student specific case management plans for chronic and acute medical conditions.
  • Work autonomously in school clinical setting

Other:

  • Substitutes are eligible to elect benefits once worked average of 10 hours a week over first 90 days serving in a Substitute capacity.
