Job description

Forklift Driver

For over 30 years, ISC Constructors LLC has provided safe, high quality electrical, instrumentation and controls solutions to global leading industrial manufacturers. With offices in Baton Rouge, Beaumont, and Houston, Corpus Christi, and Columbus as well as job sites around the country, ISC has grown our team as high 3,000+ associates and offers full-service engineering, construction, and maintenance solutions throughout the United States.

The Position

We are looking for a Forklift Driver with a wide variety of abilities to complement our experienced workforce. Applicants should have the ability to:

  • Have knowledge of applicable safety rules
  • Proficient in operating different types of forklifts (rough terrain, straight mast forklift)
  • Inspects forklift for defective parts, documents and notifies the supervisor of the defects or malfunctions.
  • Interprets hand signals to determine where materials are to be placed.
  • May be required to manipulate equipment on unlevel working surface.
  • May assist in lifting, position and securing or materials and work pieces during installation
  • Responsible for maintaining an organizing material storage container and laydown yards.
  • Responsible for delivering material to various work areas as needed.
  • Labeling every product and placing them accordingly
  • Identifying and locating the right products during the delivery process
  • Keeping all material handling equipment in the best condition by conducting regular maintenance
  • Must be able to follow specific directions, work within the standards of accuracy, capable of maintaining proper housekeeping, and able to carry out work requirements of demolition, handling trash, and assisting in maintenance and construction
Requirements
  • Ability to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug/alcohol test and applicable background checks.
  • Certification in forklift operation
  • Knowledge of operating warehouse machinery
