Must have an active IRS Public Trust clearance
System One is looking to select an Enterprise Data Architect to support our client's Internal Revenue Service (IRS) EDOS program. The overall mission of this program is to modernize the IRS legacy Tax processing systems and is critical to the overall modernization of the IRS to improve taxpayer experience, increase voluntary compliance, and reduce the IRS’s reliance on costly and unsustainable legacy technology. This role will focus on leading a large data conversation specific to transforming legacy data models and data sets into the new modern system. You will be responsible for analyzing/designing the data conversion and validation plan and leading the testing of the conversion to ensure data integrity and the time needed to convert the data.
Responsibilities:

  • Lead a large data conversion specific to transforming legacy data models and data sets into the new modern system.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 12+ years of overall experience
  • US Citizenship required
  • Must possess an active IRS MBI Clearance and have a current GFE
  • Demonstrable experience having led/participated in Data Architecture Strategy and Roadmap engagements.
  • Design and implementation experience in Big Data technologies (Spark, Hadoop ecosystem, Kafka, NoSQL databases) and familiarity with data architecture patterns (data warehouse, data lake, streaming, Lambda/Kappa architecture)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with client stakeholders at all organizational and technical levels
  • Prior experience working on Agile teams
