Job description

We're seeking a Project Engineer to support innovative engineering initiatives across utility-scale renewable energy projects. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys managing technical projects from concept through implementation while collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve project performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.


Responsibilities

  • Manage engineering projects from conceptual design through implementation and commissioning.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and business stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
  • Evaluate technical solutions, product improvements, and value engineering opportunities.
  • Lead project planning activities, including scope, schedule, resource coordination, and risk management.
  • Assess project feasibility and provide technical recommendations to support engineering decisions.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, reports, and stakeholder communications.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to evaluate new technologies and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance engineering processes and project delivery.
  • Represent the organization at technical meetings, industry events, and supplier engagements as needed.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience managing engineering projects from design through implementation.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and multiple project stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of engineering design processes, technical specifications, and project execution.
  • Experience managing project scope, schedules, budgets, and project risks.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving engineering environment.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting utility-scale renewable energy projects, including solar photovoltaic (PV), battery energy storage systems (BESS), power generation, transmission, or related infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with engineering economics or project financial evaluation (NPV, IRR, LCOE).
