Full Job Description:
Borrelli Construction, LLC / Borrelli Metal Buildings specializes in the construction of structural steel, pre-engineered metal buildings, post frame (pole barn) structures and metal panel systems. We are a family owned and operated business which has been serving the tri-state area for over 30 years. 
 
We are seeking an experienced Ironworker / Metal Building Assembler to join our team. The basic function of the crewmember is to assist in erecting pre-engineered metal buildings and post frame wood structures (Pole Barns). Must be familiar with working in erecting structural steel, pre-engineered metal buildings, metal roofing and wall panel installation, wood / metal stud framing, and pre-engineered building insulation systems.
 
We are looking for a reliable individual willing to wear multiple hats. All workers are hired on a 90-day probationary period after which they will be offered benefits. We work on a mixture of private and public projects. Prevailing wage projects are sometimes available.
 
Requirements:
 
·         Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in the construction industry.
·         Have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
·         Pass a pre-employment screening including background check, drug test and physical.
·         Have a valid and clean driver’s license. (CDL license is a plus)
·         Must be willing to work a flexible schedule if required.
·         General knowledge of the construction industry.
·         Must have your own tool belt, basic hand tools, work boots etc.
·         Must be able to work at heights of 30 feet or higher and comply with 100% tie-off procedures. 
·         Be capable of lifting 75 pounds or more.
·         Must be able to climb ladders, stairs and into equipment as required.
 
Required Skills / Abilities:
 
·         Ability to read and interpret field erection / installation drawings.
·         Assist with the fabrication, framing or installation of pre-engineered building systems.
·         Installation of metal wall panels, roof panels and standing seam roof systems.
          Qualified welder or welding experience a plus.
·         Forklift experience a plus. (We will provide training if required)
·         Back-hoe, excavator or Skid-Steer experience is a plus.
·         Operation of manlift, boom and or scissor lift experience. 
·         General knowledge of tools used in various trades.
·         Maintain equipment and tools in good condition with all safety features in place when in operation
·         Welding experience is a plus.
·         Rigging materials for crane and or forklift operations.
·         Ensure company vehicles and equipment are kept clean and maintained as used.
·         Use, maintain, and inspect safety equipment and personal protective gear prior to use.
·         Attend and participate in all required safety training and Toolbox Talks.
