Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION Job Summary

Provides senior level administrative support for Wisconsin IRIS program operations, including referrals, enrollment, eligibility, service authorization and other administrative related requirements of the IRIS program. Contributes to overarching strategy to provide quality and cost-effective care.

Essential Job Duties

Provides senior level support to operations and field staff completing participant referrals, enrollments, disenrollments, workload assignments, ongoing eligibility, financial eligibility, welcome calls, prior authorizations, individualized service plan activities and other administrative and clerical requirements related to the Wisconsin IRIS program.
Provides skilled supports to operations and field staff in completion of data entry and tracking within the DHS information technology system, SharePoint, and Power BI programs.
Responds to incoming email requests from coworkers, providers and partner agencies.
Manages phone queues and assists with outgoing and incoming calls.
Analyzes data and workflows, offers suggestions for improvement and/or changes to management and assists with the implementation of changes.
Manages projects and engages in problem-solving and overall process development and implementation within identified areas of primary responsibility and subject matter expertise.
Ensures assigned areas of primary responsibility operate at high levels of efficiency and in accordance with IRIS program requirements.
Serves as a liaison to other IRIS partners or providers as needed.
Establishes and maintains positive and effective work relationships with coworkers, clients, participants, providers and customers.

Required Qualifications

At least 2 years of applicable administrative and/or health care experience, preferably serving the target groups of the IRIS program (adults with physical/intellectual disabilities or older adults), or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
Bachelor's degree in a related field or commensurate experience.
Strong customer service skills.
Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to adhere to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations and maintain strictest confidentiality.
Ability to focus on multiple priorities simultaneously.
Resourceful, proactive, and detail-oriented, and ability to learn and incorporate new tasks quickly.
Ability to work both collaboratively and independently, including ability to function as a strong partner on project teams.
Ability to seek out opportunities to learn and grow, embrace challenges and learn from them.
Demonstrated flexibility in the work environment, and willingness and ability to adapt to changing organizational needs.
Data entry experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Microsoft Office suite/applicable software program(s) proficiency.
