Job Title: IPM Technician I 

Department: Cultivation  

Reports to:  Cultivation Site Supervisor

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Hourly 

Pay: $18.00/hr

Location: Hancock, MD

POSITION SUMMARY   

The IPM Technician I performs IPM Scouting and Product application tasks to support the operations within the Cultivation department, while abiding by laws, rules, policies, procedures, and operational guidelines. In addition, as determined by business need, IPM Technician I employees may be flexed to provide support in flower, veg, mom, propagation, harvest and post-harvest areas. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES   

  • Inspecting all plants and rooms across assigned facility 

  • Completing spray assignments as assigned by management 

  • Assessing and documenting plant health, pest issues, and cleanliness of grow rooms for daily reports to distribute by email and Trulieve SharePoint 

  • Taking plant samples for inspection to identify pests or plant health issues 

  • Partner with staff and management to identify problems across the grow and collaborate on developing and implementing solutions 

  • Researching pests and plant health issues and how to better deal with them in a compliant manner 

  • Working independently in a timely and efficient manner to inspect all rooms in facilities before light cycle switches off 

  • Preparing and delivering verbal presentations for weekly management meetings 

  • Cleaning and maintaining equipment necessary for the completion of all tasks 

  • All other duties as assigned 

QUALIFICATIONS   

  • Must be able to pass respirator fit testing 

  • Effective communication, collaboration, and organizational skills 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment 

  • Works well in a team environment 

  • Attention to detail 

  • Punctual 

  • Cultivation experience preferred 

ADDITIONAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS   

  • High School Diploma or equivalent 

  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age (or a minimum of 18 years of age in CT, PA and WV) 

  • Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening   

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

  • Must be able to handle organic matter daily, able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), and able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater)  

  • Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance  

  • Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stooping, kneeling, crouching, repetitive movements and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks

  • At times, the entire shift may be spent standing

  • Requires repetitive hand, wrist, finger and elbow movement

  • Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as reading, viewing a computer terminal, and visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions 

  • Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise)
