TITLE: Director, Product Management (AI)

DEPARTMENT: Product

REPORTING TO: VP, Product Management

OFFICE LOCATION: New York, NY

ROLE TYPE: Hyrbid

IPC is a global fintech company that puts people at the center of innovation. With a strong global footprint, we empower financial institutions and capital markets with advanced cloud‑based trading communications and managed connectivity solutions.

Through our portfolio of communications and connectivity solutions, we focus on solving business challenges and adapting to regulatory changes in the fast‑paced global financial markets. This enables our clients to maintain consistent market access, a strong competitive advantage, and enhanced operational efficiency.

Join a team that is dedicated to delivering groundbreaking products and making a significant impact on our clients' success.

Overview of the Team:

You will join IPC’s Product Management organization, a global team partnering closely with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Customer Success/Support, and Compliance/Security. Our products operate in mission‑critical, 24×7 global environments where reliability, security, and customer trust are non‑negotiable.

As a Director, you will play a central role in setting product strategy, guiding investment decisions, and scaling AI capabilities responsibly across the product portfolio.

Role Overview:

As Director of Product Management (AI), you will own IPC’s AI product strategy and execution across trading communications and connectivity workflows. You will identify where AI delivers differentiated customer value, scale those capabilities into production‑ready platforms, and ensure AI is safe, measurable, and compliant in regulated markets.

This is a leadership role combining strategy, execution, and people leadership. You will lead AI product direction end‑to‑end—from vision and roadmap to delivery, adoption, and business outcomes, while partnering closely with Engineering and executive stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own IPC’s AI product vision and multi‑year roadmap, aligned to company strategy, customer needs, and regulatory requirements
  • Identify and prioritize high impact AI initiatives across IPC’s product portfolio that drive customer efficiency, differentiation, and revenue growth
  • Define success metrics for AI investments (customer value, adoption, trust, operational impact, commercial outcomes)

Execution & Delivery Excellence

  • Lead product teams in translating strategic AI opportunities into clear PRDs, phased roadmaps, and shipped capabilities
  • Partner with Engineering to scale AI from prototype to enterprise grade, production ready solutions
  • Establish standards for AI quality, accuracy, explainability, monitoring, and human in the loop workflows
  • Partner closely with Security, Compliance, and Risk to define AI governance frameworks, including data handling, auditability, access controls, and regulatory readiness
  • Ensure AI capabilities meet the expectations of highly regulated financial services customers

People & Cross Functional Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop Product Managers working on AI enabled capabilities
  • Act as a senior product leader across the organization, influencing roadmap decisions, investment tradeoffs, and executive prioritization
  • Communicate clearly with executive leadership on progress, risks, outcomes, and investment recommendations

Go to Market & Commercial Impact

  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success on messaging, enablement, positioning, and adoption strategies
  • Support pricing, packaging, and expansion strategies for AI enabled offerings

How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Establish AI as a durable competitive advantage for IPC in regulated markets
  • Improve customer outcomes through trustworthy, production‑grade AI, not experiments
  • Increase speed and clarity of decision‑making around AI investments
  • Build scalable product leadership and execution capability across the AI portfolio

Essential Skills and Experience to be Successful in this Role:

  • 8–12+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS or enterprise technology
  • Proven experience leading AI/ML or GenAI products to production in real‑world environments
  • Demonstrated success owning strategy, roadmaps, and outcomes across multiple product initiatives
  • Strong technical and systems fluency (APIs, cloud architecture, data pipelines, model limitations)
  • Experience partnering with Security/Compliance in regulated or risk‑sensitive industries
  • Strong executive communication, influence, and decision‑making skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (advanced degree a plus)

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Fintech, capital markets, trading, or regulated enterprise platforms
  • AI governance, model risk management, auditability, or compliance frameworks
  • Leading and scaling PM teams
  • Pricing, packaging, and commercial product ownership

What’s in It for You?

At IPC, your compensation is only part of the package. We are committed to investing in a range of programs and initiatives to improve the overall experience of our employees.

In addition to a collaborative, high‑performing team environment, we’re pleased to offer benefits including:

  • Access to “IPC University” our Internal E‑Learning Platform
