Job description

What You Will Do In This Role

As the Network Solutions Architect - AI & Infrastructure at Inflect, you are responsible for designing, validating, and optimizing the enterprise-class network solutions that power our marketplace. This role reports directly to our VP of Partnerships and combines deep technical expertise with strategic advisory capabilities, bridging global supplier offerings with complex customer requirements.

This isn't a role for someone who just wants to draw diagrams; it's for an architect who understands the physics and economics of global connectivity. You will partner closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering to translate capabilities- including sub-sea cables, dark fiber, global IP transit, DIA, WAN, LAN, and wave technologies- into actionable, high-value solutions for NEO Clouds, Hyperscalers, IoT companies, and Fortune 500 enterprises. You ensure that when a customer looks to Inflect for infrastructure, they are met with a network architecture that is operationally bulletproof.

Who You Are

You are a technical strategist who refuses to accept "good enough" connectivity. You don't just understand BGP or wave services; you understand how they form the backbone of human innovation. You possess the unique ability to translate dense technical specs into marketplace solutions that accelerate sales and customer adoption. You are a "Force Multiplier" for the sales team, providing the high-confidence technical validation needed to close complex, global deals.

You feel allergic to technically inaccurate network maps or inefficient routing and you have a commitment to reach a high standard in everything you do, regardless of title or project size. You view yourself as a steward of marketplace trust, ensuring that every network solution crafted is accurate, scalable, and ready for deployment. You thrive in a cross-functional environment, guiding multiple teams through the intricacies of global infrastructure with clarity and precision.

You will excel in this role if you feel like we're talking about you when we say the ideal candidate brings the following to the table:

  • Network Mastery: Expert-level knowledge of global infrastructure, sub-sea/terrestrial fiber, colocation interconnects, and carrier-grade networking.
  • Solution Architecture: Proven ability to craft end-to-end architectures for hyperscalers and enterprise clients.
  • Analytical Rigor: Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on quality, accuracy, and marketplace readiness.
  • Strategic Advisory: Ability to translate technical networking capabilities into business value and actionable marketplace insights.
  • Technical Integration: Familiarity with network data modeling and AI-driven intelligence systems.
Who We Are

We're revolutionizing the way companies buy and sell digital infrastructure (Datacenter, cloud, and network services), and we're extremely proud of that. Digital infrastructure services are the building blocks of the internet and at the core of every industry. Traditionally, it's been bought manually through service provider salespeople, resulting in high costs, slow procurement cycles, and services that aren't the best fit - slowing down the ability of companies to build and innovate. Inflect's marketplace and advisory are removing friction so any company can get what they need, when they need it, with the right deal terms. By achieving our mission, we unlock businesses to build and human innovation to inflect!

Of course, we're also a startup, and it's important that you understand what that means if you work for us. We work quick, we work smart, we work hard, and the road to success is filled with some of the highest highs, but also has its fair share of lows. If you're looking for the same thing day in and day out, this will not be the place for you. (And that's totally okay!) We're all owners of Inflect -full time employees receive option grants-, and we know that we're the reason we'll achieve our goals, or we'll be the reason we don't. So believe me when I say that we're hell bent on achieving our goals. If this sounds like the kind of environment you would thrive in then we'd love to have you!

Day-To-Day Responsibilities

Network Design & Advisory Engine:

  • Solution Crafting: Design end-to-end network architectures incorporating sub-sea, dark fiber, IP transit, and WAN/LAN for high-growth digital infrastructure organizations.
  • Sales Enablement: Act as the lead technical advisor on complex deals, delivering tailored, high-confidence network solutions that accelerate closure.
  • Advisory Consistency: Ensure technical validation and consistency across all network deployments and advisory engagements.

Supplier Intelligence & Validation:

  • Capability Assessment: Deeply understand and validate supplier offerings, assessing performance, scalability, and technical differentiators.
  • Data Integrity: Influence marketplace data integrity by ensuring network supplier capabilities are accurately represented and transactable.
  • Marketplace Insights: Provide actionable intelligence on network availability and adjacency to improve AI-driven opportunity routing.

Cross-Functional Integration:

  • Platform Support: Collaborate with Product and Engineering to integrate network solutions into the platform, including data ingestion and validation.
  • Marketplace Readiness: Drive the "time-to-ready" for new network suppliers, ensuring they are technically validated for immediate deployment.
  • Collaborative Innovation: Interface with Marketing and Supplier Managers to highlight high-value connectivity offerings within the ecosystem.
