Job description

Swift Navigation is hiring. Let us introduce ourselves. Swift is changing the way we navigate and understand the world. Swift's precise positioning technology platform improves location accuracy from several meters to centimeter-level and is used by millions of devices across the globe. Swift's technology is trusted by users across industries, enabling safer driving, improving efficiency for last-mile delivery and commercial transport operations, increasing accuracy for mobile devices and creating new possibilities for rail, robotics and machine control. That's what we offer our customers and partners, but it's the work we do together as a team that is the best part of our days. We collaborate-across the globe-to tackle problems, to pursue our mission and to make a real impact in the world. We are diverse, flexible, supportive and we believe our team is our most important asset and offer a host of benefits and programs to ensure that they know it.

Now a little more about what you could be doing as part of our team and contributing to Swift's mission and vision. As Senior Business Development Consultant on the team, you will be responsible for developing revenue-generating opportunities across several new markets and verticals, building relationships with key industry players, technology partners, and strategic customers in each space. Identifying and expanding into new markets and verticals is a crucial part of Swift's strategy to penetrate and win new business. This position combines strong technical sales expertise with a consultative approach - working closely with customers to understand their needs and co-design solutions that fit, while driving innovation across our product offerings within these new markets. You'll partner closely with customers and partners on relationship management, and secure commercial contracts that grow business for Swift and our partners.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted technical and commercial advisor, building deep partnerships across new markets and verticals in the US - with a focus on GNSS positioning and IoT use cases.
  • Contribute to GTM strategy - identify the highest-value use cases and players, then prospect, negotiate, and close multi-year contracts with high-growth partners.
  • Work directly with customers and partners to understand technical requirements and co-design GNSS/IoT solutions that fit their use case, bridging the gap between engineering capability and commercial need.
  • Keep partner and market forecasts sharp, aligned internally, and reviewed quarterly with Sales, Engineering, and Marketing.
  • Negotiate and manage partner agreements (NDAs, SOWs, RFXs, and MSAs), and build senior relationships that last.
  • Be a technical and commercial voice for customer needs - shaping roadmap and GTM with Engineering, Leadership, and Product Marketing.
  • Represent Swift at key industry events (GNSS, IoT, and related tech forums) and bring back market and competitive intel that sharpens our edge.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Sharp strategic and analytical instincts, with a proven track record turning market insight into closed, high-value contracts (royalty, revenue-share, or subscription-based) in tech-driven markets like silicon, IP, software, or SaaS.
  • Solid technical understanding of GNSS positioning technologies (e.g., GPS, GNSS correction services, RTK/PPP) and IoT architecture, with the ability to speak credibly to engineering teams and technical customers.
  • Skilled at co-designing solutions directly with customers and driving product launches with partners from concept to measurable wins.
  • Confident representing Swift to partners and partners to Swift, turning competing viewpoints into fast, aligned decisions.
  • Strong communicator across every level, internally and externally - able to translate technical concepts into commercial value and vice versa.

Desired Skills/Experience

  • 10+ years of business development, product management, or technical sales experience in GNSS, IoT, or related technical software/hardware markets, with startup energy - thrives on ambiguity, moves fast, gets things done.
  • Hands-on experience or familiarity with GNSS/positioning technology and IoT ecosystems is strongly preferred.
  • Entrepreneurial, relationship-driven, and relentless about winning partnerships; comfortable at 30,000 feet and in the weeds.
  • Ready to travel up to 40% at peak times to close the deal, with excellent English communication skills.

Perks:

  • A flexible work environment includes work-from-home days each week.
  • Flexible vacation, competitive salary and benefits packages,401k plan and stock options.
  • Tech talks, mentorship programs, employee events.
  • Growth and learning opportunities from a tech environment include working closely with an international team of scientists, engineers, platform architects, programmers, executive staff and professionals.
