Job description

This position is part of TCS IoT and Digital Engineering horizontal business unit to drive the growth of product engineering services in Medical Devices and Diagnostic equipment segment. The ideal candidate will have over 16 years of industry experience shaping proposals, building strong client relationships, and drive solution-based sales while collaborating with cross-functional teams to create business opportunities and enhance value for Medical Devices clients.
TCS is looking for Business Development Manager focused on selling design engineering services for medical devices and software. This would cover integrated hardware and software elements within medical devices covering a range of equipment / devices such as
• Implantable devices
• Patient Monitoring systems
• Diagnostic Equipment
• Imaging systems
• Respiratory devices
• Robotics and other Bionic devices
Key responsibilities:
• Lead, Sell and Manage - Engineering, Manufacturing and IOT Solutions and Services across medical Devices and equipment segment -- End-to-end product engineering services covering electronics, electromechanical systems, and software
• Drive pipeline development and manage sales cycles to closure, contributing to revenue growth and market expansion positioning IOT and engineering services to prospective and existing clients.
• Build and maintain account maps, identify high-potential opportunities, and strategize go-to-market plans with technical and sales leadership.
• Engage senior client executives, engineering leads, and procurement stakeholders to build long-term partnerships.
• Monitor account performance, lead business reviews, and support relationship management to expand service footprint.
• Represent the company at industry events and build visibility through thought leadership and client engagements
Minimum Qualifications
• 16+ years of experience with at least 5+ years of business development experience in shaping & selling large scale technology solutions.
• Experience and deep domain knowledge in medical devices and diagnostic equipment and value chain covering the various processes including R&D, Product Development, prototyping, product lifecycle Management and Manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of products for various MedTech sub segments such as -- Imaging devices CT scanner, MRIs, and Ultrasounds, Electronic devices such as Hemodialysis machines, ICU ventilators, Patient monitors, Implantable devices Pacemakers and Hip prostheses, Software as a medical device, computer aided diagnostics.
• Experience of positioning offerings, developing, and presenting proposals, value propositions, business cases, and complex deal structuring.
• Knowledge of Electronics / Embedded Product Development cycles inc luding Hardware, Firmware, VLSI, Mechanical, Test & Validation, and Manufacturing.
• Strong technical skills with ability to engage customers with consultative selling is essential.
• Ability to understand market/customer needs and work with solution teams to help develop innovative solutions for the industry.
• Bachelors or masters degree in engineering
• Industry Experience: BFSI
Salary Range: $157,100 - $220,000 a year
