For 45+ years, Dudley Land Company has been a complete energy partner to clients across the country. Our OKC accounting team supports Dudley Land Company and our affiliated divisions, Dudley Utility Services and Dudley Staffing, keeping client billing accurate, current, and running smoothly.

About the Role

We're adding a Billing Clerk to our OKC accounting team. This is a newly created, full-time, on-site position built to take invoicing pressure off our current billing team and help keep our office running day to day.

Your main focus will be timely, accurate client invoicing, with an emphasis on Dudley Utility Services and Dudley Staffing, alongside a set of hands-on office-support duties. As our business grows, this role is designed to grow with it, shifting more fully into billing over time.

This is a great fit for someone who's equally comfortable with detail-heavy numbers work and being a dependable presence around the office!

What You'll Do

Billing amp; Invoicing (your primary focus)

  • Proof temp employee timesheets for Dudley Utility Services and prepare/submit client invoices
  • Prepare and submit client invoices for Dudley Staffing
  • Proof a small subset of Dudley Land Company contractor timesheets and handle the related invoicing
  • Coordinate manager reviews and approvals; make requested changes and confirm all sign-offs before invoicing
  • Partner with the billing team to bring down average days-to-invoice
  • Work with managers to address contractor invoices and resolve related questions
  • Research invoice issues, and correct and resubmit disputed invoices

Office Support (interim)

  • Keep office supplies and snacks stocked; sort incoming mail
  • Decorate the office for holidays and seasons
  • Coordinate lawn maintenance for the office
  • Answer the front door and greet visitors
  • Help organize office parties, luncheons, and events
  • Partner with our Katy, TX Business Manager on vendor relations, supply orders, and general office upkeep

Office-support duties are interim and are expected to transition as the billing side of the role grows.

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Comfortable with Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Adobe; able to organize physical document flow
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Genuine customer-service orientation with clients, employees, and contractors
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; works well independently and as part of a team

Preferred

  • 1+ years of accounting or billing experience
  • Experience with accounting software and/or land-industry programs
  • Prior experience in a multi-entity or multi-division company
