Job description

GDS Associates, Inc. has an exciting and challenging full-time opportunity for an Accounting Specialist. The Accounting Specialist will work at the corporate headquarters in Marietta, Georgia supporting the Controller and CFO in carrying out the essential duties of the Accounting Department.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the accounts payable specialist to ensure compliance with all company accounts payable policy and procedures, timely check run processing and month end procedures
  • Perform invoice data entry and charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports, record entries
  • Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
  • Match checks to invoices and prepare checks for mailing; set up ACH payments
  • Follow-up on vendor and inter-office inquiries
  • Post daily cash receipts
  • Accounts receivable collections, reconciliation, and research
  • Create and maintain client and vendor records
  • Contracts file and database maintenance
  • Prepare business documents and complete proposal requests
  • Assist with front desk duties when receptionist is away
  • Work on other assigned special projects or required to perform other accounting payable duties not listed above, which may vary from time to time as determined by management
