  • Incorporate key drivers including deployment/reinvestment activity, yield and spread assumptions, prepayment/credit trends, credit performance, and non-recurring activity

  • Support the investment accounting close by translating accounting results into investment-related drivers of volatility, investigating and resolving unexpected results, and implementing process improvements to strengthen the accuracy and timing of the close

  • Partner across front-office and back-office teams at Athene and Apollo to investigate earnings volatility and non-recurring items, and deliver clear explanations

  • Support monthly and quarterly reporting, including materials for senior leadership and board-level discussions

Process Improvement & Reporting

  • Drive continuous improvement across investment accounting and analysis, with a focus on automation, scalability, and accuracy

  • Develop and enhance reporting packages to deliver clear, timely, and decision-useful insights to senior management

  • Leverage AI and advanced analytics tools to automate workflows, improve variance attribution, and enhance forecasting accuracy

  • Partner with IT teams to build sustainable data pipelines and reporting infrastructure

  • Establish best practices around data governance, model integrity, and process documentation

Qualifications & Experience

  • 10+ years of relevant experience at an investment bank, consulting/public accounting firm, asset manager, or in a corporate strategy role with a focus on financial forecasting and analysis and accounting and reporting

  • A strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail, and the ability to connect accounting outcomes to underlying economic drivers and market dynamics

  • A critical thinker with strong quantitative and analytical skills who expresses their thoughts and ideas clearly both in oral and written communications.

  • A collaborative thinker who can also work independently, multitask and prioritize competing demands to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • A proactive and organized self-starter with a positive attitude, powerful work ethic, strong attention to detail and advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.

  • A change cultivator, with a strong technology background and a focus on automation and process improvements.
