Summary:

In this role, you will oversee inventory management activities that ensure the availability of medical supplies across assigned client locations. You will partner with clinical leaders, distribution partners, and suppliers to optimize inventory performance, improve operational processes, and support healthcare operations through data-driven decision-making, effective inventory controls, and continuous process improvement. Work Onsite at Client Site in Oklahoma City, OK

Responsibilities:

  • Manage inventory levels, approved supply availability, cycle counts, lead times, and service levels for assigned clients.
  • Develop and implement inventory management processes and utilize existing tools to optimize nursing, procedural, and specialty inventory levels.
  • Review non-stock purchases and evaluate opportunities to add items to inventory or clinical par locations.
  • Support purchase order discrepancy resolution, product expiration management, and product recall processes.
  • Analyze inventory performance to identify slow-moving, excess, and obsolete inventory and collaborate with clinical staff to reduce or eliminate unnecessary stock.
  • Partner with the Clinical Quality Value Analysis (CQVA) team to process item additions, changes, and deletions in a timely manner.
  • Build collaborative relationships with clients, distribution partners, suppliers, and clinical teams to identify inventory optimization opportunities and facilitate operational meetings.
  • Lead or support annual physical inventory activities and maintain accurate inventory records and system data.
  • Analyze inventory reports, demand patterns, consumption trends, lead times, and service levels to recommend inventory improvements and corrective actions.
  • Provide guidance to team members and support the evaluation and implementation of new inventory technologies, systems, and operational tools.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3 or more years of relevant experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, healthcare administration, logistics, operations, or a related field preferred; Equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • Experience supporting inventory management, materials management, logistics, distribution, or supply chain operations in a high-volume, service-critical environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of inventory accuracy, cycle counting, physical inventories, replenishment methodologies, stockout management, excess and obsolete inventory, product expirations, inventory adjustments, and product recall processes.
  • Proficiency with inventory management, materials management, ERP, or warehouse management systems, along with Microsoft Excel (Advanced) and AI productivity tools such as ChatGPT or similar related technologies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret operational data, establish inventory performance metrics, identify root causes of inventory discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build productive relationships and influence process improvements across clinical and operational teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining a strong client-service focus.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $77,400.00 to $135,400.00.
