Job description


Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Inventory Tech, you will efficiently and accurately manage supplies and equipment, ensuring optimal stock levels.
Every day you will receive, stock, issue, and track inventory, performing counts, reconciling discrepancies, processing orders, and utilizing management systems.
To be successful, you will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in inventory software, crucial for operational efficiency and cost control.

  • Manages medical supply inventory using automated inventory control and par-level systems to order, receive, stock, restock, and distribute supplies and equipment while maintaining appropriate inventory levels.
  • Maintains accurate inventory levels and stock locations by monitoring par levels, reorder points, and min/max quantities; rotating inventory; completing put-away and validation processes; and issuing or crediting materials through the inventory management system.
  • Supports cost containment and inventory optimization by identifying excess, outdated, and slow-moving inventory, adjusting par levels and reorder points, returning excess stock, and processing applicable credits.
  • Ensures supplies are readily available to patient care areas while maintaining clean, organized, and properly labeled stock locations and serving as a liaison between clinical staff and Supply Chain Management.
  • Supports recalls and departmental initiatives by following direction from buyers and the Divisional Inventory Coordinator, pulling affected products, assisting with new processes and procedures, and helping investigate operational concerns or complaints.
  • Provides lead-level support and training by training new or lower-level employees, monitoring workflow and productivity, preparing work schedules, identifying training needs, supporting quality and orientation programs, and assuming departmental responsibilities in the absence of the Supervisor/Manager.
