The Finance Manager, Product Line Profit and Inventory is responsible for driving financial visibility, analysis, and performance improvement across product lines, inventory, and material costs. This role partners closely with operations and inventory leadership to deliver actionable insights, improve profitability, and optimize cost efficiency across the organization.

Position Summary

The Finance Manager - Product Line Profit and Inventory is responsible for driving financial visibility, analysis, and performance improvement across product lines, inventory, and material costs. This role partners closely with operations and inventory leadership to deliver actionable insights, improve profitability, and optimize cost efficiency across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Product Line P&L Analysis
  • Lead full product line P&L profitability analysis, including revenue, cost, and margin performance

  • Oversee data gathering and validation processes, including reconciliation of key financial inputs

  • Partner with cross-functional operating teams to identify key performance drivers and recommend performance improvement actions

  • Provide insight into all cost components impacting product margins with a focus on growing gross profits and gross profit margins

Inventory and Inventory Write-Off Analysis and Optimization
  • Lead analysis and collaborate with Inventory Management Director on inventory performance, efficiencies, and measurement

  • Develop enhanced reporting and analysis for Inventory Write-offs, including by region and by reason code

  • Identify trends and insights of inventory write-offs, providing recommendations to reduce write-offs and waste

  • Partner with the Inventory Management Director, Supply Chain, and the Blackbelt teams to leverage the inventory write-off workshop process improvements workstream and to drive insights and decision-making

  • Support optimization initiatives to improve inventory accuracy, turnover, and value realization

Material Cost Efficiency and Purchase Price Variance (PPV)
  • Conduct analysis of material costs and purchase price variance across product lines and manufacturing sites

  • Collaborate with cost accounting on enhanced reporting and insights on variances

  • Partner with sourcing and Supply Chain management on opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements in sourcing and procurement

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, or a related field

  • Progressive experience in financial analysis, cost accounting, or inventory analytics

  • Strong understanding of product P&L structures and cost drivers

  • Experience working cross-functionally with operations, inventory management, or supply chain teams

  • Advanced analytical and data interpretation skills
