Garden Crossings is a family-owned and operated mail-order and retail company that ships quality plants to all 50 states.

Job Description

This fast-paced part-time position includes but is not limited to, plant counting, sorting, and ready date scheduling. The primary responsibility in this role is to ensure accuracy in the greenhouse. This position may include day and occasional weekend hours (Saturday Only). Required Skills include some plant knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask. Position available beginning Early to Mid March. This position may lead to part-time work year-round employment for the right employee once hired. We prefer candidates that can work 25- 40 hours per week during our peak season ( Mid March- June).

Responsibilities

  • Receiving, counting, tagging, checking new plants that come in
  • Planting and setting down newly planted plants
  • Scanning out and disposal of plants as needed
  • Trimming and maintaining Product as needed
  • Assist with picking customer orders
  • Cleaning and maintaining plants for shipment
  • Preparing orders for shipment
  • Checking customers' orders to ensure accurate orders are being shipped
  • Assist with picking customer orders
  • Great Attention to Detail
  • Work in a timely manner
  • Some plant knowledge is helpful but not required
  • Ability to work in an indoor/outdoor environment
  • Communicate and work with other team members in a professional and courteous manner
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
  • Maintain a positive attitude
  • The individual must be familiar with computers, tablets, excel, and be able to learn other software programs.

Position Details:

  • Full Time Seasonal(preferred) or Part Time Seasonal (March 1 through October 31) Year-round part time available for the right candidate
  • Hours: Flexible in spring, summer, and fall, with heavier hours in April, May, and June. Some weekends and evening hours are required. Overtime available
