Job description

Inventory Specialist
Location: Concord Township, Ohio
Shift: First Shift
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain, Production, Warehouse, and Customer Service teams to ensure inventory availability and alignment with operational requirements.
  • Monitor inventory levels and analyze inventory data to support inventory planning and replenishment strategies.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts and inventory audits to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Review inventory transactions and ensure inventory balances are accurately maintained within the ERP system.
  • Reconcile inventory variances and process inventory adjustments as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, including product locations, lot tracking, and item identification.
  • Generate and analyze inventory reports for management review and decision-making.
  • Assist in the development and execution of inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Support annual physical inventory activities and audit preparation.
  • Evaluate inventory performance metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Monitor inventory aging and identify excess, slow-moving, and obsolete inventory.
  • Collaborate with warehouse personnel to ensure products are properly labeled, stored, and transacted.
  • Assist with inventory-related projects, system enhancements, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Utilize ERP and inventory management systems to identify, analyze, and resolve inventory issues.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety regulations.

  • Perform additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications
Required
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in inventory control, inventory management, warehouse operations, or materials management.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control principles and best practices.
  • Experience performing cycle counts, inventory audits, and variance investigations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Preferred
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, LN, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of material planning methodologies, including forecasting, min/max inventory levels, reorder points, and safety stock management.
  • Manufacturing or distribution environment experience.
