Job Description:
Job Responsibilities
Job Purpose
Part of and supports the Shipping, Receiving and Inventory department by providing administrative support and exercising good judgement on moderately complex assignments. Position supports corporate business objectives by coordinating operational activities related to work in process (WIP) and finished goods (FG) inventories. Operate a lift truck to relocate material and load trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
In this position you will have the opportunity to:
  • Perform all duties in accordance with all standard operating procedures, safety rules and regulations.
  • Develop moderately complex spreadsheets that typically require the creation of basic formulas.
  • Prepare correspondence and reports with minimal guidance using word processing and graphics software.
  • Receive shipments in SAP, reconcile and process accordingly as business need determines.
  • Participate on projects or teams as assigned.
  • Collect and compile data for entry into database system and ensure information in system is up to date.
  • Verify production tags in SAP and recommend adjustments.
  • Perform WIP counts, reconciliation and recommend adjustments.
  • Assist with coordination of finished goods inventory counts and reconciliation: including scanned inventories.
  • Communicate inventory inaccuracies to manager and inventory leaders for adjustment.
  • Communicate with LP logistics and customer logistics.
  • Pull together shipments and deliveries for weekly orders.
  • Act as back-up for Shipping and Receiving Lead position.

What do I need to be successful?
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to read and understand SOPs, safety rules and safety regulations.
  • Must be aware of any environmental hazard and methods for reporting / cleaning spills.
  • Strong organizational skills, detailed clerical and administrative skills and the ability to interact with departmental leadership.
  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of product line & manufacturing process flow.
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to apply basic math skills applying to inventories.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize assigned tasks.
  • Ability to operate a computer and supporting software.
  • Knowledge of shipping process.
  • Must have successfully passed an LP scheduled forklift class with proper observation form(s) completed.
  • Knowledge of lift truck operation and general lift truck maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently, in Team Environment and follow LP Values.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position
