Position: Inventory Handler Intern
Department: Logistics
Reports to: Warehouse Manager
Salary Grade: DOE
FLSA Status: Internship / Non-Exempt / Hourly
Location: San Antonio, TX

Description:

The qualified applicant will possess strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff. The Inventory Handler Intern will support the Logistics team with day-to-day warehouse and inventory operations including organizing supplies, restocking shelves, maintaining clean workstations, and assisting with inventory management processes. This position offers hands-on experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics support within a fast-paced service environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with picking, packing, and shipping parts for open service calls, truck inventory restocks, and customer supply orders.

  • Validate outgoing inventory for shipping accuracy and consistency.

  • Assist with receiving incoming inventory and verifying items against packing lists.

  • Help load and unload delivery trucks related to equipment, parts, supplies, and inventory items.

  • Assist with boxing and unboxing equipment, parts, and supplies for staging and setup.

  • Maintain cleanliness of warehouse areas including disposal of shipping and packing materials.

  • Label parts and supplies according to stocking locations.

  • Stock parts in proper bin locations while maintaining organizational standards and inventory accuracy.

  • Assist in identifying and resolving inventory discrepancies and stockroom issues.

  • Support cyclical physical inventory counts and reconciliation activities.

  • Help maintain inventory stock and shelves in an organized, clean, and safe manner.

  • Deliver internal supplies to related departments within DOCUmation.

  • Perform additional duties and projects assigned to support DOCUmation and the Logistics team.

Experience & Required Skills:
  • Previous warehouse, inventory, or logistics experience preferred but not required.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

  • Basic computer and data entry skills preferred.

  • Willingness to learn warehouse operations and inventory processes.

Education & Certification:
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.

  • Current college student or recent graduate preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to pull, lift, reach, and transport equipment parts and boxes as needed.
