Job description

INVENTORY CONTROL ASSOCIATE
Automation Personnel Services is seeking several Inventory Control Associate for a metal manufacturing company located in Ringgold, GA. Qualified candidates will track raw materials (e.g., steel, aluminum sheets), remnants (partial sheets), and hardware. This is a full-time temporary to hire opportunity.
Pay Rate
Day shift: $20.00 per hour
Night Shift: $21.00 per hour
Shift and Schedules
Day shift: 6:00am-4:45pm Monday-Thursday and overtime Friday
Night shift: 6:00pm-4:45am Monday-Thursday and overtime Friday
Inventory Control Associate Duties and Responsibilities
• Use barcode scanners to track items as they move in and out of the shop.
• Use calipers and hand tools used to measure the exact thickness of sheet metal.
• Reorder raw materials before the shop runs out. This keeps the machines working.
• Unload metal shipments. Check them for damage and make sure the order is correct.
• Manage all equipment including cutting blades, drills, and PPE
Inventory Control Associate Requirements and Qualifications
• MUST HAVE METAL KNOWLEDGE
• Drive a forklift or operate overhead cranes
• Proficiency in shop math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Measure to 1/16th with proficiency ( tape measure test will be administered)
• 1–3 years of warehouse or manufacturing experience.
• Lift 50lbs (in office assessment will be conducted)
