Primary Responsibilities:
  • Detail one or more Prospiant product lines in preparation for submittal of Approval Drawings for clients/customers and/or Shop and Fabrication drawings for our Operations department, using CAD/CAM software.
  • Perform basic design and drafting assignments as requested by Design Manager.
  • Participate/aid in design layouts and detailing features that require researching, compiling, and recording information for an assigned project.
  • Assist in creating Bill of Materials, in Excel, for submittal to Manufacturing/Fabrication Shops.
  • Use all available resources to provide professional and accurate documents within established time frame.
  • Commit to continuous growth and improvement of professional and personal skills.
  • Monitor, minimize, and focus on hours spent on all projects.
  • Communicate with Engineers, Sales, Project Managers, and customers in a professional manner.
  • Prepares internally reviewed letters to designers for such things as information requests, technical guidance, transmittal comments/questions, etc.
  • Provides ideas and helps others to implement continuous improvement initiatives identified in yearly and long-term goals.

Position Qualifications:
  • Associates' degree in Engineering, Architecture, Detailing, or related field, preferred.
  • In lieu of professional degree: Experience Drafting in Architectural Firm, Fabrication or Construction Industries will be considered.
  • 2+ year's experience in Design and Fabrication preferred.
  • Experience applying standard drafting techniques to develop complete and consistent drawing sets for fabrication and construction sets.
  • Understanding of the Architectural design and construction processes.
  • Capable of working both independently and as part of the team.
  • Collaborate with others to determine best solutions.
  • Technical Skills: MS Office, Excel, AutoCAD, Revit and/or Inventor a plus.
  • Requires up to 15% travel.
  • Familiarity with 3D focused design software, similar to Inventor, required.
