Job description

As the Principal, Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP), you are responsible for leading the execution, adoption, and scaling of Intuit's enterprise workforce planning framework. This role ensures that our workforce direction is a disciplined, repeatable practice that informs talent, site, and financial decisions. You will bridge the gap between high-level strategy and downstream execution, driving the organizational alignment required to ensure our talent investments unlock enterprise velocity.

Responsibilities

  • Own Governance, Adoption, and Alignment: Drive the enterprise-wide adoption of the SWP framework. You will manage the decision rights, policy standards, and accountability loops that ensure the workforce plan remains the 'source of truth' for the organization. Manage key mechanisms to ensure senior leaders are aligned on tradeoffs and that exceptions are managed through a structured escalation process.

  • Establish Standards to Pilot and Scale: Define the clear standards, data requirements, and processes necessary to successfully pilot the SWP framework within key business segments. Following successful pilots, you will lead the effort to scale these processes across the entire enterprise.

  • Evolve the Model into an Agentic Capability: Partner closely with technology and Finance teams to co-create the roadmap for an AI-first SWP model. You will serve as the functional lead in evolving current methods into an automated, agentic capability that can model scenarios and predict gaps at scale.

  • Translate Insights into Decisions: Partner with cross-functional teams to synthesize workforce insights, and translate insights regarding skills and capacity into actionable business decisions that are driven throughout the organization.

  • Lead Strategic Interlock Sessions: Facilitate and lead critical interlock sessions between Finance, Talent Acquisition (TA), and HR. You will ensure that execution-including hiring pacing and budget allocation-is synchronized with the approved workforce planning direction.

Qualifications

  • Systems Thinker: You possess the ability to see the 'whole picture,' understanding how a shift in business strategy creates ripple effects across skills demand, site posture, and financial guardrails. You naturally identify dependencies and risks across complex organizational boundaries.

  • Governance and Operating Model Expertise: You have extensive experience leading complex enterprise-level operating models. You understand how to design and enforce governance structures that drive discipline and speed. You are an expert at defining decision rights and ensuring process adherence across diverse teams.

  • AI-First Approach: You approach every operational challenge through an AI-first lens. Instead of defaulting to manual coordination or spreadsheets, you look for ways to leverage automation and emerging AI technologies to solve problems, generate insights, and scale operating systems efficiently.

  • Executive Presence and Partnership: You will be a key partner to leaders across the business. You must be able to lead high-stakes sessions, influence leaders, and navigate complex organizational tradeoffs with clarity.
