Job Title: CNC Machinist

Description
ยท Set up and and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce precision parts
ยท Interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to ensure parts meet tolerances and quality standards
ยท Perform machine offsets, tool changes, and adjustments as necessary
ยท Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
ยท Troubleshoot machining programs and processes
ยท Maintain machine tools, cutting equipment, and workstations in a clean and safe condition
ยท Complete documentation such as job travelers, inspection reports, and nonconformance records
ยท Collaborate with engineers and others to improve machining processes and implement lean manufacturing practices
ยท Follow all company compliance requirements
ยท Other duties as assigned
Required
ยท Must be a U.S. citizen due to government contract requirements
ยท High School diploma or equivalent
ยท 3+ years of experience operating CNC machines in a precision (metal part) manufacturing environment (aerospace or defense experience desirable)
ยท Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, etc.)
ยท Ability to read and interpret GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
ยท Basic program editing experience
ยท Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines
ยท Working Conditions:
o Standing, walking, lifting/maneuvering up to 50 lbs.
o Frequent exposure to powders, dust, lubricants, and manufacturing equipment
o Use of PPE such as gloves, masks, safety shoes, and protective eyewear.

Preferred
ยท 2-year degree, technical certification, apprenticeship or equivalent
ยท Experience with 5-axis mills
ยท Experience operating wire EDM machines
ยท Experience programming with CAD/CAM software (MasterCam preferred)
ยท Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems
