Job description

Job Coach's support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) who have job's in the community. They assist with communication, building work appropriate relationships, and coordinating supports an individual might need around activities of daily living. Personal Support Workers role model work appropriate behavior and assist with task analysis and accommodations. The position is part-time with varying hours including weekends and evenings and must have on-call availability
Status: Part Time 15 to 29 Hours
Location: Salem
Work hours: The position is part-time with varying hours (Evenings and Weekend coverage needed)
Starting Wage: $20.14 an hour
Wage Scale: $20.14 to $24.50
Qualifications:
  • High School graduate or equivalent, with at least 1 year experience in providing training or supports to individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities seeking employment and/or job skills training.
  • Preference given to those with experience providing job coaching assistance and knowledge of local public transportation systems.

Requirements:
  • Flexible hours and on-call availability, may require some weekends and evenings, dependent upon the supported individual's schedule.
  • Oregon Drivers License and Acceptable Driving Record
  • Must have the ability to get to work sites in a timely manner.
  • Willingness to work outside one's own comfort level.
  • Effective role modeling including appropriate dress, communication and work behaviors for the job being supported.
  • Ability to establish relationships with the employee to become familiar with learning styles.
