Job Summary: Responsible for the operation of daily performance of the Radiology Department.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Ability to select, train, motivate and develop subordinates as well as maintain department budget.
  • Advises the senior management on Diagnostic technology initiatives and serves as a resource to departments and committees.
  • Provides direction for the Radiologic staff in managing the day to day operations of Radiology.
  • Oversees Joint Commission, TDH, regulatory, and unit compliance, maintaining a smooth functioning healthcare team and also serves as senior Radiologist Technologist advisor.
  • Coordinates and provides direct patient care in a timely effective manner in collaboration with other healthcare team members.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of a recognized, approved American Medical Association Council of Education program in radiologic technology; bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
  • Licensure: Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists; Certification by A.R.R.T on Computed Tomography or registry eligible.
  • BLS Required
  • Skills: Knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Ability to recognize subtle differences between healthy and pathological areas. Must possess a positive and courteous attitude and take the initiative to go beyond what is expected in a teamwork environment.
