Interventional Radiologist Position | Sign-On Bonus Available
We are looking for a skilled and collaborative Interventional Radiologist to become part of our expanding interventional radiology program, which provides both inpatient and outpatient services within one of the region's leading independent healthcare systems.
Opportunity Overview
The selected physician will join a dynamic Interventional Radiology team that delivers a wide array of minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. This full-time role is based at our main campus in Arlington, Virginia. Our interventional radiology program is bolstered by experienced technologists, dedicated nursing personnel, advanced imaging technologies, and a cooperative procedural atmosphere that is continually evolving in both complexity and volume.
Our Interventional Radiology service collaborates closely with various specialties, including oncology, vascular surgery, hepatology, nephrology, trauma, emergency medicine, and surgical disciplines, to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care throughout the treatment continuum.
Services Offered in Interventional Radiology
- Oncology:
- Image-guided biopsies
- Tumor Ablation
- Y-90 Radioembolization
- Vascular:
- Peripheral angiography and stent placement
- Thrombolysis/thrombectomy
- AV fistula and graft interventions
- IVC filter placement/removal
- Embolization
- TIPS
- Non-Vascular:
- Para/Thoracentesis
- Nephrostomy, Gastrostomy, and Gastrojejunostomy tube placement
- Myelogram
- Women's & Men's Health:
- Uterine or Prostate embolization
- Hysterosalpingography (HSG)
- Fallopian tube recanalization
- Pain and Musculoskeletal:
- Bone biopsies
- Joint & Spine injections
- Vertebroplasty/kyphoplasty
- Neuro Intervention:
- Neuro interventional procedures (preferred; at least one physician will support stroke intervention in collaboration with neurology)

Candidate Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology
- Fellowship training in Interventional Radiology
- Board Certified/Eligible in Interventional Radiology/Diagnostic Radiology (IR/DR)
- Eligibility for medical licensure in Virginia
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Interest in multidisciplinary care and program development is preferred
- Neuro interventional radiology skills are a plus (at least one member of the IR team must be trained in neuro intervention to support stroke patient care)
