Job Summary & Essential Functions

The Production Control Expeditor coordinates and expedites actions on materials, parts and assemblies between departments while supporting production schedules to ensure customer commitments are satisfied.

  • Release and Track shop floor work orders and packets based on Control Points and APS schedules
  • Review production schedules and related information, and confer with other departments to determine part status, identify overdue, and track material/parts through production
  • Manage priorities & determine work order sequence in assigned work centers
  • May enter work orders in ERP system for each manufacturing sales order
  • Compile information from various system resources to communicate with all departments regarding work flow
  • Coordinate action plans for stalled work orders to ensure a constant flow through the production process
  • Coordinate with receiving and shipping to make sure customer commitments are met
  • Interface with all departments, as needed, regarding problems or status related to work orders
  • Monitor Job Cycle Time within assigned work centers

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Intermediate level in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • ERP system experience required
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with all levels of the organization and customers
  • Ability to read, comprehend and follow instructions
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, projects and assignments to meet established goals and deadlines
  • Ability to initiate projects and tasks as required to fulfill goals and deadlines
  • Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail to produce quality results
  • Strong decision-making skills; utilizing sound judgement and thorough processes

Required Experience & Education

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant job experience
