Intervala is seeking Off shift Process Engineers 

Schedule: Off Shift | Typically 1:00 PM–10:00 PM, 2:00 PM–11:00 PM, etc

*Schedule can be somewhat flexible; we are looking for Process Engineers who can overlap with our 2nd shift production*

What You'll Do

As a Process Engineer, you will assist with establishing, maintaining, and improving manufacturing processes and systems while supporting production and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Organize, implement, and maintain manufacturing processes.
  • Develop assembly instructions, workmanship standards, and process documentation and ensure processes are followed.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to increase quality, productivity, efficiency, and cost savings.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions to resolve manufacturing issues involving processes, equipment, or programming.
  • Work closely with Production Planning and Scheduling to ensure released assemblies have the necessary programs, documentation, and processes to support production.
  • Collect, analyze, and present manufacturing data to monitor performance and progress toward targets.
  • Partner with Design Engineering on Design for Excellence (DFX) initiatives, including:
    • Design for Cost
    • Design for Test
    • Design for Manufacturability
    • Design for Assembly
  • Work with suppliers regarding manufacturing processes and capabilities.
  • Research and recommend new manufacturing technologies to reduce costs, improve quality, and increase production capacity.
  • Program manufacturing and inspection equipment.
  • Support a safe, quality-focused, and continuous improvement culture.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical field with 2 years of relevant work experience; OR
  • Associate degree in a related technical field with 4 years of relevant work experience; OR
  • High school diploma/GED with 6 years of relevant work experience.
  • Previous experience in an electronic and/or electromechanical manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience working in an ISO 9000, ISO 13485, or AS9000 environment.

Knowledge & Skills

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Knowledge of circuit card manufacturing and assembly processes, work measurement, and work standards.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Design of Experiments (DOE).
  • Familiarity with IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 standards.
  • Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
  • Analytical skills, including research, trend analysis, data analysis, and presenting information through charts and graphs.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, job orders, specifications, drawings, schematics, process sheets, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively plan, prioritize, troubleshoot, and resolve problems.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt in a rapidly changing manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
