Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Strategic Quoting Specialist to support new and existing business by managing the end-to-end material quoting process. This role prepares and analyzes material costs to ensure accurate, competitive, and timely customer quotes in a fast-paced Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, send, and track material quote requests to meet deadlines
  • Review Bills of Materials (BOMs) to determine inventory availability or new sourcing needs
  • Work directly with suppliers to obtain and clarify quotes
  • Analyze pricing, compare supplier quotes, and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Track and expedite outstanding or delayed quotations
  • Collaborate with Purchasing, Strategic Sourcing, and Engineering teams on supplier and cost strategies
  • Identify alternate components for obsolete or long lead-time parts

Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret BOMs and mechanical drawings
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and ERP systems
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with 1–2 years of experience preferred, or
  • Associate’s degree with 3–5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with electronic components, PCBAs, and mechanical assemblies required
