We are seeking an experienced Healthcare IT Project Manager to lead the implementation, integration, and support of enterprise healthcare and laboratory systems, including Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), Electronic Health Record (EHR) platforms, and related healthcare applications.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of IT project management in healthcare experience required (10+ years preferred).
- Experience with LIMS, EHR, public health, behavioral health, or laboratory information systems.
- Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, CCD/C-CDA) and interface technologies.
- Understanding of HIPAA, HITECH, healthcare privacy, security, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Experience managing SaaS/cloud-based applications, vendors, and implementation partners.
- Strong background in data migration, system integration, testing, and production support.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- PMP and/or healthcare IT certifications preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manage healthcare and laboratory technology projects through the full project lifecycle, including planning, implementation, testing, training, deployment, and support.
- Coordinate vendors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Lead requirements gathering, workflow analysis, system configuration, and business process improvement efforts.
- Manage data conversion, integrations, interfaces, and interoperability initiatives.
- Coordinate testing activities, including UAT, validation, and production readiness.
- Develop project plans, status reports, risk logs, and executive communications.
- Create and support reports and dashboards using reporting tools such as Power BI, SSRS, or Crystal Reports.
- Provide user training, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
- Collaborate with IT teams on infrastructure, security, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity requirements.
- Support ongoing operations, troubleshooting, vendor escalations, system enhancements, and compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.
