The audio engineering team works closely with the talent and podcast producers to record, edit, mix and publish a range of podcasts across the Team Coco, Stitcher Studios, Earwolf and SiriusXM brands.What you'll do:

  • Assist the podcast audio engineers with setting up sessions in the studios for both pre-recorded podcast sessions and live radio
  • Join and support recordings conducted via Zoom or other internet platforms
  • Support occasional field and off-site recording sessions, potentially including live events
  • Uphold excellent studio etiquette
  • Audio editing and basic mixing in Pro Tools
  • Assist with audio and video media management
  • Participate in team meetings and creative collaboration
  • Perform other duties as required

What you'll need:

  • You must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Internships are open to current students enrolled at a university (those graduating by September 2027 are preferred) and recent graduates who graduated within the 12-month period prior to the start of the internship.
  • Current or previous enrollment in communications, podcast or audio classes preferred.
  • Prior internship or working experience in radio/podcast/TV/Film production industry preferred.
  • Experience with Pro Tools or other DAW software
  • Knowledge of audio signal flow and recording techniques
  • Experience with Mac OS & basic computing software (Word, Excel, G Suite incl. Google Docs, Google Calendar, Google Sheets, etc.) and Zoom conferencing software
  • Experience with video recording and editing a plus but not required
  • Experience with Descript or other similar platforms a plus but not required
  • A passion for podcasts and knowledge of our network podcasts (including Team Coco, Earwolf and Stitcher Studios)
  • Commitment to excellent audio and audio storytelling
  • Flexibility and a can-do attitude. We make a wide range of podcasts. We need you to be up for anything and able to adapt to the needs of different shows.
  • Resilience and a willingness to do the less glamorous tasks as well as the fun ones.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills. Especially in a remote environment, it's crucial that you're able to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with your supervisor.
  • Attention to detail and strict adherence to the highest podcast standards and ethics.
  • Well-organized, energetic, independent and responsive to feedback and direction.
  • Strong spelling, grammar, proofreading and editing skills.
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be $18/hr and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives.
